TRAVEL NEWS – 15 August 2024: We regularly write articles to save money while traveling. Think about smart debit card payments abroad, finding cheap flights via Skyscanner, how you can quickly save for a world trip or what the cheapest countries in the world are. These are all good ways to go a long way with a small budget. But now there is this, unlimited flying for 499 euros!

The Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air is introducing a unique opportunity for travelers with a new 'All-You-Can-Fly' pass, that one makes unlimited flying possible for just €499. This bizarre offering is the first of its kind in Europe and offers adventurous world travelers the freedom to fly without limits to more than 50 countries from 50 cities.

Those interested should act quickly: the introductory price of €499 is only available until Thursday, August 15, 23:00 PM. After that, the price rises to €599. Membership is valid for all Wizz Air flights from September 25 and offers access to a wide range of destinations for a year.

How does the All-You-Can-Fly pass work?

First of all, you have to buy the All-you-can-fly pass this promotion page. You are then supposed to log in via that specific website and book your flights there, not on the regular Wizz Air website.

What is important to know is that Wizz Air is trying to fill empty seats at the last minute with this unique offer. In order to take advantage of this offer, flights must be booked within 72 hours before departure. So it means being flexible key.

So seats are never guaranteed (as flights can be full), but according to Wizz Air there are plenty of options to travel and there is regular availability at all their 50+ destinations.

Where can you fly?

Wizz Air flies to almost every country in Europe, so if you love city trips, you can really go crazy in one year. But there are also some special destinations suddenly within reach. How about Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Iceland, Georgia, Oman, The United Arab Emirates or the Maldives? You can reach all these countries with the 499 euro pass. To give you a better idea of all the destinations, I have added the Wizz Air route map below. Click on the image to view the interactive map on the Wizz Air website.

Are there additional costs involved?

Now you may be asking yourself, are there any catches that will cost me high costs? Fortunately, it's not too bad, but unlimited flying is certainly not completely free after paying 499 euros.

There is one surcharge of €9,99 per flight, in addition to the one-time purchase of the pass. Despite these additional (administrative) costs, it remains a very attractive offer for frequent travelers.

Please also note that costs for (suitcase) luggage and extra legroom are not included. You can only take a small bag for free for the standard price. This bag should fit under the seat in front of you. You can view the exact sizes and rules in the image below.

Do you still want to bring a suitcase? Then there are additional costs involved. You can take a small suitcase from 13 euros on short flights, up to 110 euros on long flights.

Why would you wait?

So, what are you waiting for? If you are still in doubt and need a little push to finally make that much-discussed world trip, know that a perfect time to travel does not exist. Realize that this is a godsend, especially if you want to travel the world on a smaller budget.

Making or indefinitely postponing a world trip is purely a mental matter. Motivate yourself, change your mindset!

For example, if you are unsure about quitting your job and are afraid of returning to the Netherlands, know that traveling the world is good for your career and future.
